I think this is a very compelling way of having a personal dialogue between US and Russian peoples. A picture is worth a thousand words, and pictures like these, candid shots are a great way of communicating our commonality.
I do have a technical criticism though, the timing of the cuts never varies so it gets boring to the eye, easy to fix though.
